Glitta – Terms & Conditions

1. About Glitta

Glitta (“Glitta”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates an online marketplace that connects customers booking events (“Customers”) with independent third-party service providers such as DJs, entertainers, face painters, and party vendors (“Vendors”).

Glitta is not a party to the contract between Customers and Vendors. Our role is to facilitate discovery, booking, payment handling, and post-event processes.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using the Glitta website or app (the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”).
If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Glitta.

3. Marketplace Model

  • Vendors listed on Glitta are independent contractors, not employees or agents of Glitta.
  • Any booking made through Glitta forms a direct contract between the Customer and the Vendor.
  • Glitta does not provide the services offered by Vendors and is not responsible for their performance, conduct, or delivery, except where explicitly stated.

4. Accounts & Access

4.1 Browsing Without an Account

Customers may browse listings and add services to a basket without creating an account.

4.2 Account Creation

An account is required to:

  • Complete checkout
  • Manage bookings
  • Leave reviews
  • Receive payouts (Vendors)

You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information and keep your login credentials secure.

5. Bookings & Availability

  • Vendor availability is shown based on information provided by Vendors, including optional calendar integrations (e.g., Google or Outlook).
  • Availability is not guaranteed until a Vendor confirms the booking.

5.1 Vendor Confirmation Window

  • Vendors must confirm or decline a booking within 24 hours.
  • If a Vendor does not respond in time, the booking may be automatically cancelled and the Customer refunded.

6. Pricing, Fees & Payments

6.1 Prices

  • Prices are set by Vendors and displayed on the Platform.
  • Prices may vary by date, duration, or event type.

6.2 Payments

  • Payments are processed securely via a third-party payment provider (e.g., Stripe).
  • Customers are charged at checkout.
  • Funds are held by Glitta until after the event.

6.3 Glitta Fees

  • Glitta charges Vendors a commission or service fee, which is deducted before payout.
  • Fees are disclosed to Vendors during onboarding or in their dashboard.

7. Vendor Payouts

  • Vendor payouts are released after the event.
  • Payouts may be contingent on:
    • Event completion
    • No unresolved disputes
    • Completion of a post-event customer satisfaction check

Glitta reserves the right to delay or withhold payouts in cases of suspected fraud, policy violations, or unresolved complaints.

8. Cancellations & Refunds

8.1 Customer Cancellations

  • Cancellation terms depend on the Vendor’s stated cancellation policy shown at booking.
  • Refund eligibility and timing are determined by that policy.

8.2 Vendor Cancellations

  • Vendors are expected to honor confirmed bookings.
  • Late or repeated cancellations may result in:
    • Financial penalties
    • Reduced platform visibility
    • Suspension or removal from Glitta

8.3 Replacement Support

If a Vendor cancels, Glitta will make reasonable efforts to help find a replacement but does not guarantee availability.

9. Reviews & Ratings

  • Customers may leave reviews after completed events.
  • Reviews must be honest, respectful, and based on genuine experiences.
  • Glitta may remove reviews that are abusive, misleading, or violate platform rules.

10. Prohibited Use

You must not:

  • Circumvent the Platform to contact Vendors directly
  • Use Glitta for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
  • Misrepresent yourself or your services
  • Upload false, offensive, or infringing content

Attempts to bypass Glitta’s booking or payment system may result in account termination.

11. Intellectual Property

All Platform content, branding, and software belong to Glitta or its licensors.
You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Platform without permission.

12. Liability & Disclaimers

  • Glitta provides the Platform “as is” and “as available”.
  • Glitta is not liable for:
    • Vendor performance or service quality
    • Event outcomes
    • Indirect or consequential losses

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot be legally excluded.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Glitta harmless from claims arising from:

  • Your use of the Platform
  • Your breach of these Terms
  • Your interaction with other users

14. Termination

Glitta may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the Platform, or pose risk to other users or Glitta.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Insert Country/Region], and courts of that jurisdiction shall have exclusive authority.
